Characters for WALK AWAY

LAURA BURNS - Laura is 42 years old and is pulling double duty working a full time midnight job and trying to take care of home and family Ray, her husband is very abusive to her and her son Jake just does not care. Laura feels like she is a failure and is desperate to walk away from her troubles. She seeks to run to her past, where, in her youth, she was a biker. Even though she got into a lot of trouble it was better than what she has now. Because of her past she is harden to pain and her trust does not come easily.

RAY BURNS – Is a drunken, overweight, out of work and disgusting slob. He is overly abusive to Laura and their son Jake.

JAKE BURNS- Jake is a 17 year old that has no respect for anyone least not himself. He is the product of an abusive father. He is a smart-ass and hates everyone.

PETE CARTER (MOTOCYCLE SALESMAN) –  Pete is a 27 year old salesman that has been on the sales staff for the past five years. He is the typical smart-ass and   will do anything to make money as long as he does not get caught, either by the cops or by his customers.

DOUG BYBIE – A biker that hangs around Bonnie’s Roadhouse. Doug drinks way too much and treats woman like shit. Doug folds under pressure and is a weasel. He is Tim’s former informant.

FRANK HENDERSON - Frank is 40 years old, He is a good man and kind to the ladies. But Frank is on the run for armed robbery and murdering Tim’s partner. For the past 20 years he has been hiding out with the biker group. He takes care of his brother Bill, that is a bit off.  Frank is a very handsome man.


BILL HENDERSON – Bill is 37 years old. He is the only family that Frank has. He suffered a gunshot wound in the head from Tim while trying to flee the scene of Officer John Craven’s murder. Bill was mean spirited before the shooting but now he is not all there. Bill does not take care of himself and gets into trouble. Frank and Tom take care of him the best they can. 

BONNIE LAWSON - Bonnie is 45 years old The owner of Bonnie’s Roadhouse. She works hard and does well for herself. She is always there to help another biker in need, but she is no ones fool. She is Tom’s girl now, but had spent time with Frank and still has a soft spot for him. She looks out for everyone in the club and is considered the mom of the group.

TIM JOHNSON – A 42 year old cop that has worked his way up in rank to detective in the Detroit police department. He is now working in the missing persons unit. He is hard nosed and works by the book most of the time. Tim is haunted by a past incident in which he lost his very first partner. He blames himself and is determined to solve the crime that has been pending for the last 20 years. He is on edge and very unpredictable.

NANCY Abrams- A 37 year old detective working in the missing persons unit of the Detroit police department. She is Tim Johnson’s partner of 3 years. Nancy has street smarts and is eccentric. She and Tim have a close brother/sister relationship. She can be a smart-ass at times but she knows her job and does it well. Nancy is a woman that you don’t want to cross, but she can take a joke with the best of them.

TOM EDWARDS - Tom is 39 years old and works as a welder. He loves working on bikes and shows them as often as possible. He is open and friendly and likes to joke around a lot. It might seem that he picks on Bill too much but it’s because he has adopted him. Tom is in love with Bonnie and would do anything for anyone in need.

DAN BERRYMEN – Dan is 32 years old and is a Native American. He has had a rough life but he does not let it get him down. He is quiet but friendly. He and Tom are long time friends and there favorite past time is picking on Bill.

BRAD FERGASON – Brad is 50 years old, Brad is an old school biker. He is the best man to have on your side in a fight. Brad is a professional gun dealer and knows his stuff well. He will be your friend but cross him once and your gone. He is cool under pressure, he uses his head under fire.

Laverne RAYIS – Goes by the name Vern is 48 year old overweight load mouth lesbian that can handle her own. She a tough buy nature. Her attitude hides a messed up past.

ANDY SAMUALS – Andy is 32 good-looking hippie type biker. Andy loves working on bikes and fixes them for the club members when needed. The ladies just love him. He is into poetry and metaphysics. Andy is a good friend that is always there to help out when needed.

MOOSE (NO LAST NAME) – Moose is 35 years old and of stock build. He is the rebel leader of an outlaw biker gang. He is well connected and is two fries short of a happy meal. He gets his thrills beating up people. He is the type that will smile in your face but you better check is hand for a knife.  

LINDA (MOOSE’S BIKER CHICK) Linda is a 29 year old over sexed bleached blond bimbo that does what ever Moose says. She wears her outfits too tight and puts on way to much makeup.

JOHN CRAVEN – Tim Johnson’s first partner. A nice guy and family man that has had many years on the force.  Not only is he Tim’s partner but also a long time close friend.

 LT. Thomson – Lt. Thomson is a 50 years old do it by the book person.  He is Tim and Nancy’s boss.  He likes both Tim and Nancy and he trusts them but only to a point.
